Taking your genetic makeup and other clinical parameters into consideration, this clinic pilot uses a unique method to prevent illness and optimise health.

For suitable patients, our diverse team of doctors, scientists and allied health professionals will conduct then review your test results and provide a customised health plan. This plan includes proactive steps and recommendations for future care.

Our clinic pilot stands out due to our commitment to personalising screening and treatment plans.

Two-step consultation process

Step 1: First consultation 45-60 minutes

  • This consultation involves us taking samples including blood, saliva and buccal swabs
  • We’ll take your vital signs and gather your family and medical history, and lifestyle information
  • You’ll sign an informed consent form
  • We’ll explain more about the tests and answer any questions you have.

Step 2: Second consultation

  • About 4 to 6 weeks later you’ll return for a 45-60 minute consultation with a specialist
  • You’ll receive your test results and personalised care plan
  • If your blood test results need urgent attention, we’ll contact you before the second consultation and may also contact your primary care physician.

Three key components of the process

Polygenic risk score tests

These tests predict risks for various conditions, including:

  • melanoma

  • breast cancer

  • ovarian cancer

  • prostate cancer

  • colorectal and pancreatic cancers

  • atrial fibrillation

  • coronary artery disease

  • type 2 diabetes

These tests use a validated mathematical algorithm and take into account low-penetrance gene variations and clinical parameters.

These tests are not designed to detect high-risk single gene disorders or cancer syndromes like hereditary breast ovarian cancer (BRCA1/BRCA2), Lynch syndrome or familial adenomatous polyposis.

Pharmacogenomics (PGx) test

We all metabolise medicines differently.

This test identifies medications that may cause adverse events or harm in certain people.

We will advise you on alternative medications

We’ll test your capacity to metabolise over 100 commonly prescribed medications.

Health optimiser test

This test identifies low penetrance gene variations and gene copy numbers that influence overall health.

Parameters tested:

  • predisposition to become obese

  • fitness capacity

  • vitamin and mineral absorption capacity

  • bone health

  • heart health

  • skin health

  • sleep quality

  • healing capacity

  • caffeine metabolism

  • digestive enzymes

  • immunity

We will provide personalised recommendations to optimise your cognitive performance and overall health.

  • Get insight into your own unique genetic profile to better understand your risk of disease and how you may respond to treatment
  • Your medication and doses will be tailored to your individual genetic makeup
  • Designed to enhance your response to treatment and reduce the side effects from treatment
